By utilizing the waste from the fibrous stalks from sugarcane, we are able to create highly sustainable plates, bowls, compartment trays and to-go containers. Products manufactured from bagasse require less energy than plastics products, and biodegrade within 90 days.

Areca Palm Leaf

Palm leaf fiber has been used as dinnerware in India for hundreds of years. High heat is applied to shape the plates using non-toxic production process which doesn’t aggravate deforestation. Fallen palm leaf disposable tableware can use commercial composting facility as well as residential, it biodegrates within 6 weeks.

Bamboo is one of the most important non-wood species, this versatile grass grows lightning fast, making it great alternative to hacking down old-growth forests. Lean Orb uses it to create all natural sturdy cutlery that serve as an alternative to commonly used plastics.

Wheat Straw

Wheat straw that we use comes from the stalks of wheat plants, which do not store protein, gluten, or allergens. Lean Orb favors this popular agricultural by-product as a sustainable alternative for styrofoam to-go

Biobased Economy Commitment

About 14 billion tons of biomass/year are produced in agricultural cycles, and of this nearly 12 billion tons/year are essentially discharged as waste. Additionally considered, the global population has more than doubled in the past 50 years. Both industry and consumers are showing an increased interest in styrofoam alternatives. In response, researchers have developed a whole new generation of plant-based packaging materials. Biodegradable disposables are becoming a big contributor to the value chain of a Biobased economy, and our team is looking to solve it case by case with each individual client.

We seek renewable materials with the least environmental impact

An ambitious transition strategy from styrofoam is as much innovation as it is a forgotten ancient practice which includes using most by-products available. We simply take something natural, mold it into a useful product and release it back without harm to the planet.

Re-thinking future with better design in mind

In the process of guiding our customers towards lean and sustainable practices, we strive to uphold highest standards in design customization and on-time delivery.

Recovery rates for recycling are simply too low

Just because recycling programs exist does not mean all have access, which makes it difficult to reduce packaging waste at the end of the packaging lifecycle so we must find better solutions to the problem
